Aquastar Deepstar
Details
Famous and much sought after diving chronograph, stainless steel case, 1960’s, first chronograph water resistant up to 100 m, it was a toolwatch used by the team of the french scientist and explorer Commandant Cousteau on board of his Calypso.
Overall Condition:
The watch is in excellent conditions overall, with light wear marks consistent with age and use. The light brown/grey dial presents an astonishing silver dust patina and the indexes and hands have a matching patina. There is a small dent on the case at 12 and a tiny line on the second dial under 30, both “defects” not so visible at first sight. The writings Aquastar Genève DEEPSTAR 10 ATM Swiss Made T are very legible. All the inscriptions on the bezel are also in great conditions.
