Jardur Bezelmeter
Details
Stainless steel case very rare 1940’s US chronograph by Jardur Import Company, a brand from New York established in 1937 that made navigational aides for pilots, air navigation calculators, plotters – the Super Flightmaster – but also legendary chronographs/toolwatches that were intended to be a cockpit on the wrist.
Overall Condition:
The watch is in great condition overall, with reasonable wear marks consistent with age and use. Caseback is recent and has the nb deleted on the inside, aswell as the writing on the bridge of the movement appears to be deleted. Dial is in unmolested conditions, keeping its original beautiful red colour on the degreemeter scale and the radium on the hour indexes has faded and naturally turned yellow/black. The chronograph second hand replaced by a spectacular “lightning” shaped hand. The bezel rotates.
Dimensions:
approximately 37mm wide (excluding crown).
Movement:
Valjoux 72 manual winding, working fine, revision history unknown.
