Universal Space Compax
Details
Stainless steel 1960’s legendary chronograph by Universal Genève. This was meant to be a big contender for the Space conquest. Then we all know that the NASA chose Omega’s Speedmaster in a fight between Wittnauer, Rolex and Omega. This big futuristic looking chronograph was supposed to win everything judging by its look and movement, but it just wins the price of sexy looking piece of horology! This example is a Mark1 panda dial, later version with black rubber pushers and red chronograph hand (The early one had grey rubber pushers and silver chronograph hand)
Overall Condition:
The watch is in very good condition for its age and use. The bezel is relatively well conserved. The black dial is in excellent conditions, with very well conserved writings, white indexes, red logo and Space-Compax, and white outer scale. The subdials are also in very good conditions with minor stains. The case might have been polished but looks sharp. The watch comes with a rare original Universal bracelet.
