Nitella All Resist

Late 1950’s stainless steel double case antimagnetic/waterproof watch by Nitella, a small watch company based in Tramelan, Switzerland. This Unicorn watch has probably been produced in a hundred pieces max., and mostly sold in Sweden as we have found only adverts from sweedish magazines. Thanks to its construction – 2 cases, casebacks, glasses… – it was 100m water resistant and antimagnetic up to 1500 gauss (Rolex Milgauss was resistent up to 1000 gauss)

Overall Condition:

The watch is in breathtaking conditions. The radium has developped a crazy dark warm patina, while the black glossy dial is faultless. The radium dot on the rotating bezel is still present and Geiger response is alarming.. Crown is a so called “Superocean” type. On the vintage advert, you can see the Parmentier crown which was the other crown type seen on these rarebirds.

The watch has also its original Fixoflex bracelet.
