Gruen Ocean Chief “Genève”

Stainless steel american diving watch by Gruen, a kind of sister of the famous Breitling Super Ocean, similar in size and shape. The curved bezel “hides” and protects the crown.

This example has a rare 3rd version dial, with “Genève”/”23” (rubis) “Power-Glide”/ “Swiss”, instead of “Precision”/ “Autowind”/”Waterproof”/ “RaSwissRa”

Overall Condition:

The watch is in very good condition over all, the bezel is beautifuly preserved aswell as the black glossy dial. There is a small green spot on the top of the minute hand, otherwise the radium has developped a great dark matching patina on hands and indexes.

The radium hand standing still for a long time has slightly burned the dial at six o’clock
