Benrus Type 2
Details
Parkerized steel class A (tritium) diver – this one from 1978 – issued to the Navy UDT/SEAL, EOD and Dive teams. The Type 1 has a simple dial design, with only indexes for hours/min and no other markings, while the Type 2 shows standard and military time.
16.000 units were produced between 1972 and 1980. It is interesting to note that Benrus Type 1 and 2 were never made available to civilian purchase.
Overall Condition:
The watch is in great condition for its age and use (!). It retains the original glass, the bezel shows no major defects and the case normal signs of wear (and war?)
