Benrus Sky Chief
Details
Stainless steel case, 35mm wide excluding original crown. Legendary 1940’s pilots official chronograph watch of TWA, Northwest, Delta and KLM airlines. The Benrus brand was American but watches were made in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland.
Overall Condition:
The watch is in very good condition over all, with light wear marks consistent with age and use. The black glossy dial has some light marks, but remains a masterpiece of legibility and patina. The radium on indexes has faded in a uniform way. The amazing dome glass is scratch free. The watch comes with a beautifuly aged leather strap with a flying logo on the buckle. And its Benrus vintage box (see last pic)
Movement:
Valjoux 72 manual winding. (Very loud and almost musical sound, working very precisely, great power reserve)
